The board of Harbor and Land Commissioners seems to have come to a satisfactory understanding on the question of the boundary line between Gay Head and Chilmark. There flows from Menemsha pond a small channel to Vineyard Sound, which shifts from time to time. As this is the supposed boundary line, the proposition which came from the people of the towns was, if the Harbor and Land Commissioners would define where the channel should be, the towns would dredge it out, on condition that the Commonwealth shall build a protecting wall to prevent its shifting in the future, the wall to extend out sufficiently into the Sound to make possible a boat harbor. The engineer of the board has satisfied himself as to the matter, and the work will therefore go on at once.
