Spring sports are back in action at the Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School as the tennis, baseball, softball, lacrosse, track and sailing teams open their sessons.

With a roster stacked full of new players hailing from coast to coast, the Martha’s Vineyard Sharks are ready to defend their title this summer as the champions of the New England Collegiate Baseball League.

Playoff fever came to an end for the Vineyard boys hockey team Thursday evening as the top-seeded Norwell Clippers took down the Vineyarders 5-0 at The Bog in Kingston.

The Vineyard boys basketball team ended its postseason run losing to the Old Rochester Bulldogs 59-50 Wednesday evening in Mattapoisett.
