History changed hands on Chappaquiddick last week with the sale of the home fronting Cape Pogue Pond known as the Big Camp, long owned by the Woodger family.


Dear Madame First Lady: I am writing today in my present capacity as manager (and past owner) of the Royal and Ancient Chappaquiddick Links.

As the sole groundskeeper for The Royal & Ancient Chappaquiddick Links (yes that is a real place), allow me to offer the following tips on how to best prepare your golf course for the coming season.


On Saturday, June 14, the inaugural Joseph Jerome Memorial Golf Tournament and Auction took place at the Royal and Ancient Chappaquiddick Links on Chappy. Over 300 people participated in an effort to raise funds for Vineyard families with chronically ill children.

The inaugural Joseph Jerome Memorial Golf Tournament is a natural extension of efforts the Jerome family have already been making to assist other families, thanks to a memorial fund created in the fall.



This could be you: Owner of a majestic summer island home with a sweeping vista of Edgartown Harbor, Nantucket Sound and Cape Poge gut; Steward of 18 acres of marsh, cliffs and wooded hills on Chappaquiddick’s North Neck area; and, not least, head of the Royal & Ancient Chappaquiddick Links, a nine-hole golf course cut from the land more than 100 years ago.
