Sol Cove Fischer Turner was born on New Year’s Day at home in Edgartown to parents Lila Fischer and Nic Turner.

Renzie Nordin Crane was born at 6:18 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 2 at the Martha’s Vineyard Hospital, the first baby of the new year on the Vineyard. She weighed 8 pounds, 6.6 ounces at birth.

Abe Harold Courtney was born at 4:47 a.m. on Jan. 2 at the Martha’s Vineyard Hospital, the first baby of the new year on the Vineyard. Abe weighed 8 pounds, 9.7 ounces at birth. The proud parents are Cassie Bradley and Patrick Courtney of Chilmark.

The first baby of the new year arrived Saturday. Rocco Robert Fiorito was born at the Martha’s Vineyard Hospital on Jan. 11 at 10:26 a.m. He is the son of Kate Hennigan and John Fiorito of Edgartown.

Jack Rossi made his arrival at Martha’s Vineyard Hospital at 6 p.m. on Monday — the first baby born on the Island in 2018. He is welcomed by his parents, Ellen and Ryan Rossi of West Tisbury.

Acacia Vitoria Lima was born Wednesday, Jan. 4, welcomed by parents Viviane and Adriano Lima of Vineyard Haven and older sister Clarice.
