Last weekend the Osprey hockey league hosted a tournament with a team from York, Me. The free girls league begins in preschool and runs through the eighth grade, helping girls stay invested in the sport until they get to high school.


A rivalry between police officers and firefighters heated up Saturday for the first annual Guns and Hoses hockey game, which raised $3,000 for Martha’s Vineyard Youth Hockey.


Vineyard girls joined forces with players on their sister island of Nantucket to field a team large enough to compete in a tournament.


Youth hockey season wrapped up last weekend with the Vineyard picking up a championship tournament trophy.
