Years after it became the Island’s first state-designated cultural district, the Vineyard Haven Harbor Cultural District is relaunching as a newly-minted nonprofit led by artists working in the town.
Known for his instantly-recognizable line drawings, the Cape Cod artist Edward St. John Gorey wrote more than 100 picture books and won a Tony award for costuming.
As programs have grown more frequent and attendance has soared, the Vineyard Haven library is gearing up for a small expansion that will add a new program room.
