Before the Portuguese American Club was formed, before its cozy bar in suburban Oak Bluffs was built, there was just the Holy Ghost Society and a parade.

At a grand opening Saturday afternoon, leaders at the food pantry and Island Grown Initiative gave tours of the new facility at the Portuguese American Club in Oak Bluffs.

While still a month away it’s never to early to start practicing your lip sync moves.

The PA Club is inviting all TSA and Coast Guard employees and their family members for a free fish fry. The dinner will take place from 5 to 7 p.m.

On Saturday the the Holy Ghost Feast begins at 5 p.m. at the Portuguese-American Club.
