Pianist Aldo López-Gavilán arrived on the Vineyard Saturday and spent much of Sunday practicing in advance of concerts with Harlem Quartet on Monday and Tuesday as part of the Martha’s Vineyard Chamber Music Society summer series.
The Martha’s Vineyard Chamber Music Society started 47 years ago. This year's season opens on July 17 at the Old Whaling Church in Edgartown and July 18 at the Chilmark Community Center.
The Martha’s Vineyard Chamber Music Society is celebrating its 45th anniversary this summer with a lineup of performances by nationally known groups such as the Harlem String Quartet and Infinite Brass.
On Monday and Tuesday of this past week the Chamber Music Society started their summer season in fine form. The season continues with a concert simply called “Cool.”
