Main street Edgartown was littered with candy and lined with smiling faces Saturday morning when the Christmas parade went on as planned despite some drizzle and fog. A crowd of children, parents, grandparents and dogs lined the sidewalks to cheer on a long procession of homespun floats.

Crowds packed Post Office Square for the lighting of the Oak Bluffs Christmas tree on Wednesday night. The celebration kicked off with caroling and a performance by the Vineyard Haven Band, and ended with hot chocolate and a visit from Santa at nearby Dreamland.
