Noelle Lambert placed fourth and seventh in the long jump and 100-meter race respectively last week in Paris at the Paralympic games.
Ms. Lambert lost her leg in a moped crash on the Vineyard in 2016. This was her second Paralympic games, having competed in Tokyo in the 100-meter race where she finished sixth.
The Paris games were her first competing in the long jump competition.
“We’re just looking to grow on this as much as possible,” Ms. Lambert said in an interview last month. “I’m still a rookie in long jump, and it’s crazy [because] every single long jump practice I go into, the things that I’m taking away from it and learning...I’m just excited that we’ve been able to get to this point.”
