The Martha’s Vineyard Concert Series opens its 2023 season on June 10, with an evening with Jorma Kaukonen. Mr. Kaukonen was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1996 with his band Jefferson Airplane. He was also a founding member of Hot Tuna before embarking on a solo career.
The show takes place at the Old Whaling Church, beginning at 8 p.m. Mr. Kaukonen will also play the Loft in Oak Bluffs on June 16 beginning at 9 p.m.
The concert series moves the Performing Arts Center on July 10 for the Allman Betts Band and continues all summer long at all three venues. Three additional performances were announced recently, extending the series through August 26, over Beach Road Weekend.
