As far as interesting vehicles go, I am happy to announce the HillCar is here! Gretchen Baer has traveled from Bisbee, Ariz., to spend the summer with Mom Jacqueline Baer at the family home in our town. Gretchen had the HillCar trucked here from Arizona. Stay tuned for more exquisite artwork from this family of artists. I hear they will bead the HillCar.

First Friday will be different this week. Instead of closing Main street, the whole party will be down at Owen Park. Music, food, camaraderie and a bonfire are on the menu. I’ll see you there.

Also on Friday evening: Johnny Hoy and the Bluefish are performing at Featherstone. Get your tickets for a great show.

Speaking of great shows, it was announced that Ladyfest will be held on October 8 this year, in Oak Bluffs as always. Check out information at ladyfestmv.com.

Thank you, Julia, for your kind guidance and support. Welcome to Brian Boyd who will take the helm.

Get well wishes to Kate Feiffer, who wiped out on a bicycle jaunt in Scotland. Her attitude is very sunny.

I’ll see you at our annual birthday party for Tisbury on July 8. The street fair is back. Food, music, sales and friendship.

Have a wonderful week.
