The Great Beer Challenge is still open. So is the Boozy Cocktail Competition, Burgers and Bubbles and the Grand Tasting on Saturday, May 14 on the grounds of the Kelley House. But many of the other eating and drinking events at the 2016 MV Wine Fest held May 12 to May 15 are already sold out.
The event has become an annual spring ritual held at restaurants and private homes around the Island. Chefs, sommeliers and vintners and distillers from both the Vineyard and nearly everywhere else descend on the Island for an event that brings people together the old fashioned way — around food and drink. Some of the proceeds from the four-day event always goes to an Island charity. This year’s recipient is the Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School Culinary Arts Program.
