2020

Barring the unforeseen, the Tisbury annual and special town meetings will take place Saturday, June 13 at 1:30 p.m., on the Tisbury school playground to provide for social distancing among voters.

At a joint meeting Friday morning between Tisbury selectmen and town board of health officials, selectmen voted unanimously to postpone all meetings on town owned property through May 1.

Polls are open in Tisbury today for the annual town election. Voters will elect a new selectman and have a final say on spending for wastewater and school improvement projects.

As a three-night annual town meeting ground to a close, voters in Tisbury rejected the housing bank initiative by a vote of 115 to 75. It was the third town to defeat the measure.
