The Island Community Chorus sounded its first note back in 1996. Today, under the direction of Peter Boak, it’s a veritable Island institution. Anyone can join, and no auditions are required. But that’s not to say the choir lacks talent.
The Island is filled with marvelous singers; they lurk behind bank teller windows, serve fried fish sandwiches all summer long, bag your groceries, plant your flowers, say hello (in tune) at the post office, ferry line, and from porches galore.
