2016

Timothy Carroll and Glenn DeBlase were elected as flotilla commander and vice flotilla commander.

TheCoast Guard Auxiliary is offering a 10-week boating skills and seamanship course starting Wednesday, March 22.

2015

Coast Guard members from around the region gathered in Menemsha Thursday morning to inaugurate the Island’s first volunteer flotilla in 35 years. Timothy Carroll is the commander of the 18-member volunteer flotilla 11-9.

2014

Two Vineyarders were presented with their auxiliary boat crew certifications at a ceremony in Menemsha. The events marks another step toward Martha’s Vineyard having its own auxiliary flotilla.

Coast Guard Information

Tomorrow morning, local members of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary will be hosting an informational meeting at the American Legion Hall in Vineyard Haven. Interested boaters are encouraged to drop by at 9:30 a.m. The meeting runs until noon.

The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary is the uniformed volunteer component of the United States Coast Guard. The Auxiliary directly supports the Coast Guard in all missions except military and law enforcement. It supports the boating public through its programs in public education, boating and marine safety, homeland security and vessel safety checks among many others.
