Start revving up the New Years parties a day early with a Chilmark Potluck Jam on Saturday, Dec. 30, beginning at 6 p.m.

Almost a year and a half after tabling a recommendation from a special town committee, the Chilmark selectmen are still struggling to determine how best to regulate use of the Chilmark Community Center.

Held Saturday evening, the third Chilmark Potluck Jam of the season was the biggest yet — with the onset of winter, the jams provide a venue for much-needed socializing and entertainment.
