Crowd of watchers and many volunteers gather on Vineyard Haven harbor. Jeanna Shepard

Sunday, July 15, 2018

Ted Box began work on The Seeker at Ernie Boch's vacant property in 2011. On Saturday, the 70-foot wooden scow was launched into Vineyard Haven harbor with the help of many volunteers, and many eyes on land witnessing the event. Fair winds and good fortune to The Seeker.

avoiding crowds and overloaded calenders I missed the Seeker's launch until yesterday evening when I drove by it happily bobbing in the water tethered to Tisbury Wharf !!! Congratulations to Ted Box & all believers, brilliant! FYI, it's Noreen Baker not Maureen

Well done Ted!..and friends. I've been through the same ordeal so I know. Of course you will be in for a new set of challenges while afloat but it will still feel great to feel her move. Admire your strength and perseverance.
