A gathering of friends of the late Harold Hill will celebrate his life at the Portuguese-American Club in Oak Bluffs from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 11. Please bring a dish to share.

My condolences to Sandy and the Hill family. I am at a loss of words. Harold was my next door neighbor and friend in Boston. I have fond memories of our differences of opinion. In many ways he was a big man (I was only 5'6") with a big heart that I was glad to have as a friend. I will always remember the evening he spent with my family in Oak Bluffs.
