Paula (Johnson) MacRae of Plymouth, formerly of Westwood, died at home on Feb. 4. She was 86. Paula was the beloved wife of the late Clinton MacRae.

She was born on Martha’s Vineyard and lived in Westwood before moving to Plymouth 47 years ago. She was active as a hospice volunteer for more than 26 years and was awarded the first Joy Jenkins Volunteer Award by Cranberry Hospice for her volunteerism after being unanimously nominated by her peers. Paula enjoyed knitting, crewel embroidery, watching the birds and being the center of her family. Her love and kindness, and even her humming, will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her daughter Paula Oehme of Florida and her son Craig and his wife Greta of Plymouth. She was the sister of the late Lorraine (Tootie) Johnson of Vineyard Haven. Paula was known as Nanny to the seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren who loved her dearly.

A funeral service was held at the Second Church of Plymouth, followed by interment at Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton.
