Phyllis Dube Jardin of Edgartown and N. Fort Myers, Fla., died on May 18 after a brief illness. She was 78.

She was born on Feb. 26, 1933 to the late Cyprien (Phil) Dube and Lena Geddis Dube. She grew up on Martha’s Vineyard where she and her husband, Frank, raised a family of eight children and 18 grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her daughters: Irene Brennan and Lynn Jardin; and by her granddaughter, Heather Jardin; her brother Phil Dube and sister Jacqueline Bilodeau.

Phyllis is survived by her loving husband, Frank Jardin; her children, Gary Jardin and his wife Nora, Karen Jardin, Diana Jardin, Deborah Regan and her husband Phil, Wayne Jardin and his wife Jacqueline, Sian Skatoff and her husband John and son in law Rick Brennan; her grandchildren, Jim Gibson, Derek Bergeron, Heidi Tirro, Brittany Jardin, Brandon Jardin, Richard Brennan, Stephanie Carr, Daniel Brennan, Bianca McCullom, Arianna McCullom, Shelby Regan, Jared Regan, Jeremy Regan, Wayne Jardin, Justus Skatoff, Stephanie Skatoff, and Evan Skatoff; also by her brothers, Donald Dube and his wife Carolyn and David Dube; and her sister, Joan Coffin and her husband Ollie; as well as five great-grandchildren and her beloved Maltese Mini Pearl.
