Sandra Lee Collison, 68, Was Providence Native

Sandra Lee Collison of New York city, age 68, died at Bellevue Hospital Center on Wednesday, March 10.

She was born in Providence, R.I., on Dec. 18, 1935 to Curtis L. and Svea E. Collison. Mr. and Mrs. Collison were longtime summer residents of Oak Bluffs, and he served from 1970 to 1972 as business manager at the Vineyard Gazette. A graduate of the University of Vermont, Ms. Collison lived in New York for many years where she pursued a variety of interests, including foreign affairs and classical music. She visited her family in Maine often.

She is survived by her father of Yarmouth, her sister and brother in law, Judith C. and Peter T. Foss of Yarmouth; her brother and sister in law, Jean A. and Curtis L. Collison Jr. of New Bern, North Carolina, and six nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 27, at the First Parish Congregational Church in Yarmouth. In lieu of flowers, and in honor of Ms. Collison's years of volunteer service, the family requests that contributions be made to The City Church, New York at 420 Lexington avenue, Suite 1631, New York, NY 10170.
