Cleoniki Zigouras Was Active in Her Church

Cleoniki (Demetriades) Zigouras, 89, of Mashpee, formerly of Brockton, died Tuesday, Feb. 11, at the Cape Cod Nursing Center in Bourne. She was the wife of the late Nicholas Zigouras.

Cleo was born Jan. 15, 1914 in Bridgewater. She was the daughter of the late Peter and Katherine Demetriades.

Before moving to Mashpee, Cleo lived in Brockton for more than 60 years and worked for many years along with her husband at Nickies Lunch, her family-owned business. She was a member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Brockton, where she belonged to the church Ladies Philopthos Society.

She is survived by her children, Christos Zigouras of Abington, Katherine Cimeno and her husband, Anthony, of Palm Harbor, Fla., and Victoria Nelson and her husband, James, of Edgartown; her grandchildren, Kristen Zigouras of New York, Nick Ducharme of Mashpee, Lynne Eaton of Mashpee and Bryan Nelson of Charlestown, and her great-grandchildren, Alex Eaton and Brooke Nelson.

Visiting hours at the Russell Funeral Home, 165 Belmont street, in Brockton will be from 5 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the Russell Funeral Home on Saturday, Feb. 15, at 9 a.m. followed by a service at 10 a.m. in the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 457 Oak street, in Brockton. The Rev. John Kiramarios will officiate. Interment will follow in Melrose Cemetery in Brockton. Donations may be made to the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 457 Oak street, Brockton, MA 02301.
