We had warm and sunshine on Sunday. It was so nice to go outside and feel the warmth of the sun. Now the April showers are starting to come in. But it is almost spring.

Happy birthday to all who celebrated their day this past week. Big balloons go out to Callie Oteri, who celebrated March 3; Domminy Ribeiro, March 5; Violet Dellorusso, March 6; and to Benjamin Brown, Jhady Pereira and Theo Pereira, who all celebrated March 7.

I finally have a crocus in bloom. I usually have them in bloom earlier but people have posted theirs blooming for a few weeks. Definitely signs of spring. Also, I spotted a redwing blackbird on the feeder and someone reported the sounds of the pinkletinks.

As I write this, I am on the boat, headed to see Frozen with my family and a very excited five-year-old, Amelia, who has her Anna dress all ready for the adventure. With the fog being so think, you cannot see anything five feet in front of you. Spring is on its way.

Looking around the boat there are not very many people, but that will soon change in a few weeks. It is nice to see people you actually know and get to say hello.

I ran into Barry Hegarty at the Stop and Shop. She was looking chipper and very pretty in her flowery coat. We are all still trying to navigate the store, which still changes daily.

The League of Women Voters is hosting a candidate forum for candidates running for office in Edgartown. It will be held March 23 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Edgartown library.

With Easter being early this year, people will be looking for lilies, pansies and other spring flowers to spruce up their planters. That also gives you a big boost after the long winter.

Don’t forget to set your clocks ahead on Saturday night. The evening will be lighter longer, but morning will be darker later.

Have a great week and keep the home candles burning.
