The Grey Barn and Farm in Chilmark has been recognized with a 2024 Good Food Award Finalist distinction. The award was made in recognition of Prufrock, the farm’s pungent, washed rind cheese that is a farmstand favorite.

Based in San Francisco, the Good Food Foundation celebrates responsible food makers who are reforming America’s food culture. For the 2024 Good Food Awards, the foundation received more than 1,700 entries that were blind tested and vetted for category-specific sustainability standards. Prufrock is one of 428 products receiving recognition.

Grey Barn has received numerous acknowledgments and awards since establishing its dairy, bakery and farming business in 2009. Prior accolades include being mentioned by The New York Times as “the big cheeses from the Vineyard, and winning a Good Food Award in 2021, World Cheese Awards in 2019 and American Cheese Awards in 2017.
