Farm Neck, take a step back. It’s January and golfers in the know are heading to the Oak Bluffs library. It’s warm in there and the holes, while sometimes devious, are a lot shorter.

The library has once again set out its mini-golf course, where patrons can play 18 holes through and around the stacks. On Saturday, from 10 a.m. to noon, families and kids are all welcome to try their luck.

But the night before, the course welcomes a more-seasoned group who like their golf with a bit of libation. The popular Putts & Pints returns Friday, Jan. 19 from 6 to 9 p.m. Admission is $18 per person, or two for $30, with each player earning a round of golf and a free drink. Beer and wine will also be available for purchase as well as food on site.

All proceeds benefit the Oak Bluffs library's programs.

Teens will not be left out, with a free teen-only event taking place Friday afternoon from 4 to 5:30 p.m.
