Island police arrested two Edgartown residents last week for allegedly having illegal drugs and a handgun.

Steven Luce, 52, and Rosalynn Kent, 43, were arraigned in Edgartown District Court Monday after police and the Drug Enforcement Administration say they found cocaine, psilocybin mushrooms, steroids and other prescription drugs during a search of a Edgartown-West Tisbury Road home.

Police had been investigating the two on drug charges and also found a handgun, ammunition and high capacity magazines, according to a statement from the Oak Bluffs police department.

Mr. Luce and Ms. Kent are now facing numerous charges.

Mr. Luce was charged with trafficking a class B substance, two counts of possession with intent to distribute a class E substance, possession of a large capacity firearm, possession of a large capacity feeding device, improper storage of a large capacity firearm, possession of ammunition and possession with intent to distribute a class C substance.

Ms. Kent was charged with two counts of possession with intent to distribute a class E substance, possession with intent to distribute a class C substance, and conspiracy to violate drug laws.

Mr. Luce was held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing on Thursday. Ms. Kent’s bail was set at $200.
