We have two adoptions to report this week. The young tabby and white girl, Sparkle, is moving on to her new home, and bunny brothers Peter and Teddy have an adoption pending. Best wishes to everyone.

The pets of the week are two adorable 12-week-old female kittens. They are Siamese mixes with blue eyes, white with Siamese coloring and calico markings. Jane has more calico markings and a black splotch on her face, while Jill’s only calico markings are on her tail. Jill is the more outgoing of the two, while Jane is more shy. If you’re interested don’t delay: these girls won’t be here long.

Did you know that while dogs are at the shelter training is implemented whenever necessary? When a dog is adopted, the new owner gets one free training session courtesy of Jeremy Jones. We also provide puppy training classes and AKC Good Citizen training.

Looking for a gift for the person/people who have everything? Please consider making a donation to the shelter in their name(s). It’s the perfect gift for any occasion.

Also, if anyone is in need of cat food, dog food or a crate, we have plenty and are happy to share. The Island Food Pantry also has pet food for those in need. Just give us a call during regular shelter hours.

The shelter phone number is 508-627-8662. Hours are: Tuesday, 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Wednesday, 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Thursday; 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
