Amanda Roberts and John Brosens were married on July 8 at the Roberts’ family home in West Tisbury.

Dr. Marc Altshuler, a longtime family friend, officiated the backyard ceremony which looked out on the sound. Dinner and dancing continued under a tent in the meadow and into the family’s barn.

Amanda grew up in Philadelphia, then attended Yale University where she was a member of the Squash Team. She is the daughter of Aileen and Brian Roberts who are longtime summer residents of the Vineyard.

John is the son of Deenie and Frank Brosens. He grew up in Bedford, N.Y. and played tennis at Georgetown. John would visit his grandparents during the summer who spend time in Edgartown.

The couple was first set up by their older siblings, but they reconnected in the early days of the pandemic, four years after their first blind date.

The couple live in New York City with their dog Bruce. Amanda is an executive at film studio, A24, and John is the director of real estate at hospitality company, Locale.
