The 100th annual Edgartown Yacht Club Regatta wrapped up earlier than planned the weekend of July 15, when heavy winds Sunday morning led the race committee to abandon the final day of competition.

In regatta results, Edgartown skipper George Eberstadt and his daughter Maya Eberstadt, sailing Persephone, won first place in the Herreshoff 12 1/2 series.

Rachel Keough, also of the EYC, took first in the Rhodes 19 races at the helm of Navicula and Kenneth Dyett of Beverly Yacht Club in Marion skippered Bit-O-Honey to first in the Shields series, which doubled as the class’s New England championship.

EYC skipper Crawford Phillips won the J-70 series in Lynx and Tim Fulham of Wianno Yacht Club, sailing Aria, was first in the Wianno Seniors fleet.

In the junior regatta held July 12 and July 13, Peter Herlihy and Finn Sperry sailed Li’l Yachty to first in the Club 420s fleet.
