No one was injured when two recreational vessels collided south of Noman’s Land Saturday.

The U.S. Coast Guard arrived in the area Saturday afternoon to find everyone aboard the boats safe and only one of the vessels, a 55-foot pleasure craft, was damaged, according to Chief Petty Officer Robert Simpson.

The damaged boat was taken to Rhode Island by Sea Tow, a maritime towing company, for evaluation.

“Some good samaritans then picked up the [stranded boaters] and brought them back home,” said Mr. Simpson. “The vessel eventually made it back okay, too.”
