Felix Neck Wildlife Sanctuary in Edgartown, the Vineyard’s chapter of Mass Audubon, has expanded its programming and support for people who are differently able.

A new Accessible Birding program will launch on Saturday, April 8 providing bird watchers with a more relaxed pace, opportunities to watch in place, benches and chairs set up for comfort, and binoculars and field guides available for use. Accessible Birdwatching is free and will be available from 9 to 10 a.m. The event will be held again on Saturday, May 13.

Felix Neck has also added an all-terrain trail wheelchair for use by people with mobility challenges. The Freedom Chair is available by appointment on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. It can be used by people of all ages. Call 508-627-4850 to schedule a time for use.
