The following cases were heard in Edgartown district court.

Sept. 19

Richard J. Previdi, 29, of Wayne, Pa., was arraigned on Sept. 19 charges in West Tisbury of drunken driving, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, a marked lanes violation and speeding in a specially regulated area, Defendant entered pleas of not guilty and released on payment of $200 bail. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Nov. 21.

Sept. 20

Shane A. Harthcock, 41, who the court lists as homeless, was arraigned on a Sept. 19 charge in Oak Bluffs of assault and battery on a family or household member. Defendant released on personal recognizance and with further conditions to stay away from and have no contact with alleged victim. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Dec. 16.

Donald N. Thomas, 31, of Edgartown, was arraigned on Sept. 19 charges in Oak Bluffs of failure to stop or yield, drunken driving, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle with suspended registration and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Defendant released on personal recognizance. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Nov. 18.

Sept. 21

Danae A. Finley, 33, who the court lists as homeless, was arraigned on a Sept. 20 charge in Oak Bluffs of disorderly conduct. Defendant found responsible on decriminalized charge and ordered to pay $50 fine, which was forgiven. Defendant released on personal recognizance. Case closed.

Sept. 26

Laura Bernard-Maciel, 52, of Edgartown, was arraigned on Sept. 24 charges in Edgartown of using a motor vehicle without authority and resisting arrest. Defendant held without bail without prejudice. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Oct. 7.

Sept. 29

Brian W. Frost Jr., 24, of Edgartown, was arraigned on Sept. 28 charges in Edgartown of disorderly conduct, assault and battery, assault and battery on a police officer and trespassing. Defendant released on personal recognizance and payment of $150 counsel fee with further conditions to stay away from and have no contact with alleged victim, stay away from Rockfish and be alcohol free with SCRAM testing administered three times per day. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Dec. 7.

Roger D. Mellick III, 68, of Clinton, N.J. was arraigned on Sept. 24 charges in Edgartown of a second offense of drunken driving and negligent operation of a motor vehicle. Defendant entered pleas of not guilty and released on payment of $200 bail. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Dec. 12.
