The Farm Neck Foundation announced $94,500 in grants to Martha’s Vineyard organizations for the year 2021. The foundation is an independent charitable corporation created by Farm Neck Golf Club. Grants went to a variety of Island organizations, ranging from a scholarship fund for Camp Jabberwocky to fixing paddocks at the Misty Meadows Equine Learning Center.

A full list of grants includes: Island Grown Initiative, $6,000, to purchase a Billy Goat mower; Sheriff’s Meadow Foundation, $5,000, to upgrade TrailsMV mobile app.; Martha’s Vineyard Figure Skating Club, $1,500, to operate pre-school skating program; Martha’s Vineyard Film Society, $7,500, for capital campaign to purchase the building that houses the Martha’s Vineyard Film Center; TheFoodBasketsMV, $12,000, for the annual cost of SSA reservations and fuel for the program’s container truck; Camp Jabberwocky, $4,500, to support the campers scholarship fund; Chamber Music Society, $2,000, to purchase microphones, a T-bar, XLR cables and a mixing amplifier; Martha’s Vineyard Art Association, $4,000, for the presentation of the art exhibit Catboats; Built on Stilts, $2,000, to fund technology and administrative expenses; Friends of Sengekontacket, $5,000, to fund summer intern program; Lagoon Pond Association, $5,000, to fund summer intern program; Martha’s Vineyard Family Center; $6,000, to purchase diapers and wipes for the diaper bank; Misty Meadows Equine Learning Center, $9,000, for the replacement of existing wooden fence surround paddocks; Island Housing Trust, $10,000, to support the Kuehn’s Way affordable housing project; Foundation for Underway Experiential Learning (FUEL), $5,000, to support youth programming aboard the Shenandoah; Martha’s Vineyard Film Festival and Vineyard Conservation Society, $5,000, for the completion and presentation of the short film On Our Watch; MVY Radio, $5,000, second payment of $15,000 contribution to capital campaign to fund the purchase new building.
