The Island Housing Trust has four new board members and two recent hires, according to an announcement from the nonprofit.

The new trustees are Norman Werthwein of Chilmark, a retired CFO and CPA who volunteers for ACE MV, SCORE and the MV Airport Finance Committee; Jefrey DuBard of West Tisbury, an independent real estate developer and broker and a member of the West Tisbury Affordable Housing Committee; Sophia Welch of Aquinnah, assistant to the town administrator and Planning Board Plan Review Committee and a member of the Aquinnah Affordable Housing Committee and of the Aquinnah Wampanoag Tribe and Michelle Vivian-Jemison, longtime access coordinator and instructor at MVTV, an IHT homeowner and HOA President at Greenwood Avenue in Tisbury who also serves on the boards of the Martha's Vineyard Diversity Coalition and the MV ASALH (ssociation for the Study of African American Life and History) Organization.

The new staffers are fundraising development associate Paige Leahy, a graduate of Saint Michael’s College, and project development manager Liz Volchok, a planner, social preservationist and architectural historian with experience in community and housing development who holds a master's from the
University of Pennsylvania and a bachelor's degree from City University of New York.

The housing trust announcement also thanks retiring board members Debra Cedeno, Bob Green, Julianne Vanderhoop
and Wendy Swolinzky.
