Oct. 1 through Oct. 4 at the Martha's Vineyard Film Center in Vineyard Haven, socially-distanced Island audiences can view and vote on the nine finalists in the annual Manhattan Short Film Festival.

This is the 16th year the film center has hosted the festival, a worldwide event now in its 23rd year, according to an announcement from the Martha's Vineyard Film Society. The screenings will take place only at the film center.

The nine films screening in the festival are Safe Space (Australia), The Stick (Finland), Exam (Iran), Hey, Gray (Russia), White Eye (Israel), Sticker (North Macedonia), Two Little Boys (USA), Maestro (France) and The Present (Palestine).
