Good news to report, Bumpy the Wheaton terrier has an adoption pending. Fingers crossed for this boy that all works out.

Is anyone missing a male, adolescent black cat? He was found in West Tisbury and must be someone’s pet. He’s very sweet and friendly and is wearing a flea collar. Please contact the shelter if you think this may your baby.

Come get your cat. Lemmy is continuing to come out of his shell, he’s been greeting people and seeking out affection more and more. This is a big step for him. He’s been fearful and confused so we’re very pleased and hopeful that he’ll now find his forever home soon. Lemmy is a male tabby, about eight years old who is turning into a sweetie.

Our other tabby cat looking for a home is Holly who has been with us for about two and a half years now. She’s about six years of age and has been living as the shelter cat. Being out and about has helped her become more trusting of people. She still, however, will need someone with cat savvy due to her unique, feline personality.

Who wants Guinea Pigs? We have two very sweet gray and white girls, sisters, that are living happily together. Since they’ve spent their entire lives together, we’d like them to be able to stay together.

Remember that tick and flea season ramping up again so please be diligent about checking your pets and yourself as well as keeping up with flea and tick treatments.

If anyone would like to make some donations from our wish list we are in need of laundry detergent, bleach, air fresheners and toilet paper.

We’d like to thank everyone for their donations of used towels and such, but request that you refrain from making donations of this type at this time.

If anyone is in need of cat or dog food, we have plenty and are happy to share. The Island Food Pantry also has pet food for those in need. And if anyone needs any crates we have an abundance and are happy to share.

The shelter phone number is 508-627-8662.
