Chicken Alley Thrift Shop in Vineyard Haven will host its 17th annual Art and Collectibles Sale online this year from August 12 to August 31, according to an announcement from Martha's Vineyard Community Services. All proceeds from the sale benefit the programs and services of MVCS.

Founded by volunteer and patron Olga Hirschhorn in 2002, the sale offers a curated collection of local paintings, antiques, vintage items, collectibles, Island curiosities and unique pieces selected from thousands of donations.

“One of the greatest things about the Art and Collectibles Sale is being able to share the work of Island artists and artisans with the community,” Chicken Alley Thrift Shop manager Jessica Tartell said in a statement. “Even though we’ve moved online, this iconic sale still features unique, high quality artwork—many pieces that are Vineyard specific. This year we’re particularly excited about the number of Ag Fair posters we have accumulated, which always seem to be in high demand.”

The sale will open August 12 at noon Eastern time and close August 31 at 5 p.m. New items will be added throughout the sale, according to the announcement. Interested buyers can view and purchase items during this time by visiting the online sale at: chickenalley.org, and stay up to date on the sale by joining the email list.
