The Martha's Vineyard Museum is reopening its doors this week, with admission by timed tickets purchased online in advance. Museum members have been welcomed back since Tuesday and public admission begins Friday, museum director Kay Fuller said in an announcement.

Along with its historic and cultural exhibitions, the museum is showing artwork by Lucy Mitchell and a new installation titled Now! in which two dioramas, by the siblings Rick Lazes and Paul Lazes, respond to the coronavirus pandemic with images of the past and questions for the future.

The museum also has added socially-distanced Thursday night concerts for the month of August, starting this evening at 5 p.m. with classical music performed by Grammy-nominated flautist Carol Wincenc and cellist Velléda Miragias.
