Trinity Episcopal Church in Oak Bluffs will not hold services this summer, according to a statement from church warden La Verne Mitchell on behalf of the Trinity Episcopal trustees.

“After prayerful consideration, and in accordance with the Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts and the 'phased roadmap' announced by Governor Baker, we have decided not to open Trinity for worship services this summer," Ms. Mitchell wrote.

It is the first time in more than 125 years that the church will not open for summer services, according to Trinity clerk Susan Wilson.
