At this time, the animal shelter remains open for official business and by appointment only.

We are happy to report that a couple of adoptions have taken place. Kitties, Angus and Hazel, have been adopted together. What could be better for them? And Guinea pig brothers, Dolphin and Mr. President, have found their new home as well. Congratulations all around.

We need someone patient for Lemmy. Lemmy is a male tabby, about eight years old. He’s very shy and confused so needs someone who will give him the time to find his confidence. If you think you could be the person for Lemmy please call the shelter to set up an appointment.

We have kittens. We have four unsocialized kittens who are all very scared. Two resemble apple head Siamese, a gray and a black. With no volunteers permitted into the shelter there is almost no one there to spend time handling these babies so they are still very shy, but they are also still very young. Please contact the shelter if you think you may be interested in any of these kittens.

We would like to remind everyone that tick and flea season is definitely here so please be diligent about checking your pets and yourself as well as keeping up with flea and tick treatments.

If anyone would like to make some donations from our wish list we are in need of laundry detergent, bleach, air fresheners and toilet paper. But right now we are really in need of paper towels. If anyone can make a donation of paper towels please drop them off at the shelter.

We’d like to thank everyone for their donations of used towels and such, but request that you refrain from making donations of this type at this time.

If anyone is in need of cat or dog food, we have plenty and are happy to share. And if anyone needs any crates we have an abundance and are happy to share. Just give us a call during regular Shelter hours.

The shelter phone number is 508-627-8662.
