The Martha’s Vineyard Hebrew Center and the Martha’s Vineyard chapter of the NAACP will host a Martin Luther King service on Friday, Jan. 17 at 5:30 p.m.

The service will be led by Rabbi Caryn Broitman to honor and remember both Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King and Rabbi Abraham Joshua Heschel, two friends who shared a philosophy and vision for peace, and walked side-by-side in several Civil Rights marches.

Rev. Mariama White- Hammond, minister for ecological justice at the Boston Bethel AME Church, will be the guest speaker at the event.
