Connect to End Violence, a program of Martha’s Vineyard Community Services, will hold its eighth annual seawall event this Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Capitalizing on the symbol of a seawall which seeks to provide protection from the potential brutality of storms, this event asks men to recognize their role in helping to prevent violence against women.

Men are invited to gather at the Vineyard Haven seawall on Beach Road, unified in a public stand that Island men will not tolerate domestic or sexual violence against women.

Connect to End Violence offers a 24-hour crisis hotline at 508-696-7233 and also offers free and confidential services including short-term crisis counseling, survivor advocacy, supervised visitation and child witness to violence services.
