I am writing in regard to the incident that occurred with the man who had a medical occurrence and then was involved in a car accident on North water street on Sept. 14.

I want to bring to your attention that Maurice Scott, worker at Murdick’s bakery, and his nephew Daville Richards ran to the smoking car and were the ones that got the man out of the dangerous sitiuation. Maurice Scott’s sister and Daville Richards’s mom, also a worker from Murdick’s bakery, went to the smoking car and got the man’s large Bassett hound dog out of the back seat and then patted him and comforted him until the animal patrol arrived.

It was all in the family. They were all selfless in helping in this situation.
