Former President Bill Clinton will appear at the Performing Arts Center on Wednesday, August 22 to talk about his best-selling novel, The President Is Missing. The book is co-authored by writer James Patterson.

President Clinton is a late addition to Martha’s Vineyard Book Festival’s Author Series, which features top authors talking about their work. His appearance is co-sponsored by the Vineyard Gazette.

A political thriller that includes elements of espionage and cyberterror, The President is Missing was published in June and tops various summer reading lists. At the Vineyard event President Clinton will be interviewed by literary agent Bob Barnett. Signed copies of the book will be available, but Mr. Clinton will not be signing books.

The event begins at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $60, which includes a book and a bookplate signed by President Clinton and Mr. Patterson. Two tickets and a single book are available for $85. To buy tickets, go to billclinton.bpt.me.
