Eight candidates are running for seven seats on the Dukes County Commission. The Gazette emailed questions to all the candidates asking them to speak to their qualifications and the role of the commission.

Reason for Running

I believe I bring experience to the board as I have served Dukes County for several years.

Qualifications

My continuing service, ability to listen and a considerable amount of experience. I have also served as a selectman, helped develop and supported a regional approach to items facing all of us such as a regional veterans agent and parking clerk that have worked well.

Role of the County Commission

Providing a regional solution to problems confronting the towns where applicable.
