Martha’s Vineyard Savings Bank has hired Island resident Jeanne Ogden as the bank’s new vice president, head of residential lending.

According to a press release Monday from the bank, Ms. Ogden will be based at the bank’s West Tisbury branch. She previously worked at Santander Bank, and has been a Martha’s Vineyard resident for 23 years.

Savings bank president and chief executive officer Paul Falvey said in the press release, “With more than two decades of experience helping residents expedite the lending process, Jeanne Ogden is one of the most well-known and respected lenders on the Island and we are delighted that she has agreed to join our financial team.”

According to the press release, Ms. Ogden is on the board of directors at Martha’s Vineyard Ice Arena and serves as president of the Martha’s Vineyard Girls Hockey Booster Club.
