Maxwell Butler, son of Lenny and Mallory, will soon head out on a two month national tour, which will also include Canada, with Patrick Droney and his band. They will be performing at Cafe Club in Boston during their tour.

Nina Butler was home over the weekend with her parents Lenny and Mallory, before heading to her new abode in the Boston area after enjoying being in Colorado for a couple of years.

Jeffie Butler, the eldest of the Butler clan, her husband Kevin Sheehan and their children Maeve and Orrin recently returned to their home in Aspen, Colo., after an Aquinnah summer visit. They have started clearing their property in Aquinnah to build their family home and it will be a pleasure to have them as neighbors – pool or no pool.

Betsy Carlton was a recent guest of her sister Nancy Benoit, her husband Jim, and their daughter Laina who is now in third grade.

Adriana Giles Ignacio returned home on Wednesday following her extensive therapy at Massachusetts General Hospital and at Spaulding Rehab in Boston. For now, she will be residing with her sister Berta and husband Vern Welch.

Thank you to Noah Liptack, assistant of Charlie Shipway, in teaching the summer sailing program to Aquinnah youth. Noah is a member of the Scheuer clan — longtime residents of Aquinnah and Chilmark.

Great news — Anne Vanderhoop Madison will return home by the end of next week. She is completing her rehab at Spaulding Rehab, 311 Service Road, Sandwich, MA 02537 and would enjoy a card or a call.

Have you heard? Wenonah Madison just happened to be at the Sweet Life Cafe while President Obama and First Lady Michelle were dining there. He asked Nonie if they were too loud in the other room — of course not!

Condolences to the family and friends of Ethel Sherman. Whether she was behind the counter at SBS, at the Farmers’ Market, or having lunch at the Howes House with our mom Jacquelyne, Ethel always had a wonderful smile for you and a few words of advice. She will be greatly missed across the Vineyard, for not only her smile and her wisdom, but for her fantastic jellies and jams.

Kathy Smith will be teaching in Nha Trang, Vietnam, for this school year. Kathy has taught in some of the most interesting and remote areas of the world. Her husband Jim Wallen enjoys visiting with her during her winter vacations from her school schedule. On occasion, their sons Nicholas and Zachary Wallen also enjoy the winter tours.
