The following cases were heard in Edgartown district court.

August 11

Treniece L. Harris, 45, of Randolph, arraigned on August 9 charges in Vineyard Haven of drunken driving, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and marked lanes violation. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for August 22.

Beach M. White, 23, of Chilmark, arraigned on August 9 charges in Vineyard Haven of drunken driving, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, marked lanes violation and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for August 25.

Stephen J. Woodbury, 48, of Edgartown, arraigned on August 9 charges in Edgartown of drunken driving, marked lanes violation and negligent operation of a motor vehicle. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for August 28.

August 14

Olivia L. Becchio, 19, of Oak Bluffs, arraigned on August 13 charges in Vineyard Haven of drunken driving, possessing an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, failure to stop/yield and person under 21 possessing liquor. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for August 25.

Charisse L. Brossard, 49, of Washington, D.C., admitted to sufficient facts on an August 11 charge in Oak Bluffs of drunken driving, continued without finding for one year. Ordered to complete a 24-day driver alcohol education program, to lose license for 45 days and to pay $600 in fees. Found not responsible on charges of failure to stop/yield and a motor vehicle lights violation.

Aaron R. Duclos, 41, of Oak Bluffs, arraigned on August 14 charges in Vineyard Haven of drunken driving, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and a motor vehicle lights violation. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for August 29.

Matthew D. Howell, 52, of West Tisbury, placed on pretrial probation for six months on a June 14 charge in West Tisbury of selling/delivering liquor to a person under 21.

Gerald A. Laflamme, 60, of Quincy, arraigned on August 11 charges in Vineyard Haven of drunken driving, second offense, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and a marked lanes violation. Bail was set at $2,500 and a pretrial hearing was scheduled for August 29.

Scott T. Nelson, 33, of Chilmark, arraigned on a June 21 charge in Vineyard Haven of negligent operation of a motor vehicle. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for Sept. 18.

Hunter C. Wolff, 19, of Oak Bluffs, arraigned on August 14 charges in Oak Bluffs of possessing with intent to distribute a class D drug (marijuana) and person under 21 possessing liquor. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for Sept. 18.

August 15

Maxwell R. Celeste, 24, of Edgartown, placed on pretrial probation for six months and ordered to pay $85.35 in restitution on a June 5 charge in West Tisbury of leaving the scene of property damage. A charge of negligent operation of a motor vehicle was dismissed upon request of the commonwealth and found not responsible on a charge of failure to stop/yield.

William A. Farrissey, of Oak Bluffs, placed on pretrial probation for three months on a May 23 charge in Oak Bluffs of domestic assault and battery. Ordered to remain alcohol free, maintain counseling and not abuse the alleged victim.

Jessica A. Holley, 21, of Andover, arraigned on August 15 charges in Oak Bluffs of drunken driving, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and a marked lanes violation. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for August 28.

Gregory W. Miller, 49, of Heram, Me., will have August 1995 charges in Oak Bluffs of illegal possession of class D substance (marijuana) and operating a motor vehicle without a license dismissed at the request of probation upon payment of $200 in court costs.

Martha A. Russell, 56, of Crozet, Va., placed on pretrial probation for six months on a August 15 charges in Oak Bluffs of breaking and entering for a misdemeanor and trespassing.

Brian M. Weston, 61, of Oak Bluffs, pleaded guilty to a Jan. 1 charge in Oak Bluffs of discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a building, placed on pretrial probation for one year. Ordered to pay a $50 victim/witness assessment fee and a $50 monthly probation services fee. Pleaded guilty to a charge of disorderly conduct, ordered to pay $150 fine/assessment fee. Admitted to sufficient facts on charges of resisting arrest, intoxicated licensee carrying a firearm and improper storage of a firearm, continued without finding for one year. A charge of carrying a dangerous weapon was dismissed upon request of the defendant, with no objection by the commonwealth.

August 18

Colleen E. Bonessi 23, of Cheshire, Conn., admitted to sufficient facts on a July 18 charge in Oak Bluffs of drunken driving, continued without a finding for one year. Ordered to complete a 24-day driver alcohol education program, to lose license for 45 days and to pay $600 in fees and a $65 monthly probation services fee. A charge of negligent operation of a motor vehicle was dismissed upon request of the commonwealth and found not responsible on a charge of failure to stop/yield.

Kristin L. Davis, 23, of Durham, Conn., arraigned on August 16 charges in Oak Bluffs of drunken driving, failure to slow (failure to use caution when backing) and negligent operation of a motor vehicle. According to a police report filed in court, Ms. Davis allegedly crashed into another car on Circuit avenue extension while backing out of a parking space. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for Sept. 5.

Leonardo (Leandro) Miranda, 23, of Edgartown, arraigned on August 10 charges in Oak Bluffs of speeding and operating a motor vehicle with license suspended for drunken driving. According to a police report filed in court, police allegedly observed Mr. Miranda driving a car at speed above the posted speed limit and conducted a traffic stop. Police then allegedly saw Mr. Miranda switch seats with a person in the passenger seat of the car he was driving. According to documents filed in Edgartown district court, Mr. Miranda has two prior drunken driving charges in the past four months, one resolved and one with a pretrial hearing scheduled for Sept. 4. Bail was set at $25,000 cash and a pretrial hearing was scheduled for Sept. 4.

August 19

Brian Williams, 27, of Middle River, Md., placed on pretrial probation for one year on an August 2013 charge in Edgartown of threat to commit a crime.
