On Monday, August 4, the West Tisbury Library is inaugurating a series of documentaries by local filmmakers with a showing of two films by Marjory and Robert Potts.

Making Music: The Emerson String Quartet was shot on the Island in 1983, and features an in depth glance at how art and the making of art create a life. The second film, Their Lives In Art, is a profile of artists Robert Henry and Selina Trieff, who lived and worked in Christiantown for over 30 years, another study in how to live the artistic life.

Marjory Potts will be on hand for a Q&A after the screening.

The library series called Life As We Know It will continue over the next four Monday nights of August. Showings begin at 6:30 p.m., and popcorn and lemonade are included with the free admission.
